2011 Audi Q7
Just as it followed the VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne into the marketplace, the Audi Q7now will be following their lead on engine downsizing. While itsrecently updated exterior remains unchanged, the 2011 Q7 loses both ofits current gasoline engines, the 280-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 and the 350-hp,4.2-liter V-8. They get replaced by two variations of the superchargedTFSI 3.0-liter V-6 found in the A6, S4, and S5.
In the Q7, theentry-level 3.0 TFSI makes 272 hp and produces 295 lb-ft of torque—downeight horses but up 29 lb-ft from the 3.6-liter's 266. The stronger Q7’s3.0 makes 333 hp and produces 325 lb-ft of torque, a 17-hp deficitcompared to the outgoing V-8 but matching it in the torque column. Topspeed with the new engines is 140 and 152 mph, respectively.
Whilewe don't have U.S. fuel-economy figures yet, Q7’s mileage will improvemarkedly. In Europe, the entry-level model improves by 12 percent, andthe stronger motor tops the V-8 by 16 percent. That's partly thanks tothe new engines and partly thanks to the eight-speed automatic thatreplaces the current six-speed box across the board.

2010 Lexus LX 570 Review
The Lexus LX 570 ispowered by a 383-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 connected to a six-speedautomatic transmission. Mechanically, the LX 570 is heavily related tothe Land Cruiser, and both boast tremendous off-road capabilities. Inaddition to its truck-based design, the LX 570 features a permanentfour-wheel-drive system along with respectable wheel travel and groundclearance. There's also a new electronically controlled off-road CrawlControl mode. When this feature is activated, the 570 uses its antilockbrakes and electronic throttle to fearlessly descend or ascend steep,slippery slopes. All the driver has to do is steer. While dedicatedoff-road vehicles tend to behave like jittery behemoths on pavement,this Lexus is as civilized as it gets. Special to the LX 570 is anelectronically controlled suspension with adaptive ride height anddamping control that delivers the type of buttery-smooth ride expectedof a Lexus.
Options
The Lexus LX 570 isalso adorned in the finest interior trappings of its class. The leatherupholstery is almost inconceivably supple, and the bird's-eye mapleinlays are some of the richest you'll find at any price point. Othermaterials are similarly beyond reproach. The LX also offers seating foreight, although its rearmost row is suitable only for children anddoesn't fold flat into the trunk floor. (Each piece of the split benchflips against the side walls.)
